Mithril Mining Corp. Receives Key Federal and State Permits to Advance Initial Operations at the Historic Calvert Tungsten Mine in Montana

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 26, 2026 – BEAVERHEAD COUNTY, MONTANA

Mithril Mining Corp. announced today that it has received permit approvals from both the United States Forest Service and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality under the State’s Small Miner Exclusion Statement (SMES) process, clearing the way for the Company to commence Phase 1 operations at its historic Calvert Tungsten Mine project in June 2026.

The approved work program authorizes Mithril Mining to do a small scale bulk sample removal of tungsten-bearing material from existing historic stockpiles and overburden dumps located at the Calvert Tungsten Mine site in Beaverhead County, Montana.

The Phase 1 program will focus on previously disturbed historical mining areas totaling less than 0.7 acres, with an estimated 4,250 to 7,500 cubic yards of material identified for selective removal, metallurgical evaluation, and extractive testing.

“This approval represents an important operational milestone for Mithril Mining and validates months of technical, environmental, and regulatory preparation,” said Taylor Sulik, Mithril Mining Corp CEO. “Our focus remains disciplined and straightforward, responsibly advancing verified American tungsten assets while operating to modern environmental and safety standards.”

The approved operations will include:

  • Loading and hauling tungsten-bearing material from existing stockpiles
  • Metallurgical and extractive testing programs
  • Utilization of existing road corridors and access routes
  • Conventional earthmoving activities within previously disturbed areas
  • Environmental and erosion control measures coordinated with regulatory agencies

All work will be conducted in coordination with the U.S. Forest Service and in compliance with applicable federal and Montana state regulatory requirements.

Tungsten remains essential to U.S. defense, manufacturing, and industrial security, and the Calvert Tungsten Mine represents a key step in Mithril Mining Corp.’s mission to help rebuild a secure American critical minerals supply chain through verified geological work, disciplined project advancement, and responsible operational execution.

As Phase 1 activities commence, the Company expects the program to generate important metallurgical, operational, and geological data that will support future development planning and technical evaluation of the Calvert Tungsten Mine project.
