Mithril Joins Cornerstone

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 25, 2025 — Provo, UT

Mithril Mining Corp, an American owned and operation critical mineral exploration and development company developing two high-grade tungsten projects in the United States, is proud to announce its acceptance into the Department of Defense’s Industrial Base Policy Cornerstone consortium, an Other Transaction-powered program that unites industry, academia and government to shore up the nation’s most fragile production lines. Cornerstone’s “Sector Area 8 — Critical Minerals & Materials” specifically targets the mining, processing and trade networks required to keep U.S. manufacturing and defense programs resilient.

Cornerstone is the only government-managed OTA consortium, providing a streamlined contracting pathway that skips many Federal Acquisition Regulation hurdles and speeds prototype funding for projects that address supply-chain vulnerabilities, expand domestic capacity and meet urgent operational needs. Membership is free and open to qualified U.S. companies, meaning every dollar we save on dues can be redirected toward drilling, metallurgical tests and pilot-plant design.

“Joining Cornerstone gives Mithril Mining a direct line to Industrial Base Analysis & Sustainment (IBAS) grants and flexible milestone-based awards that can compress our timeline to first concentrate,” said Taylor Sulik, President of Mithril Mining. “More importantly, it positions us shoulder-to-shoulder with the DoD team charged with closing critical-mineral gaps—an alignment that will help transform our tungsten deposit from exploration success into a strategic asset for the war-fighter.”

As a consortium member, Mithril Mining will immediately begin drafting white papers. The company also gains access to Cornerstone’s cross-sector collaboration forums, providing a venue to engage aerospace primes, national labs and trusted-capital investors on joint R&D and offtake agreements. These resources complement Mithril’s ongoing efforts to secure Defense Production Act Title III cost-share funding and private-sector capital, potentially shaving two years off the path to commercial production.
